I've always had a problem with my hairline on my forehead- I have a weird widows peak, and I would like to have a more straight line. Would hair plugs be a good option?

Yes, the fact is that you will probably have good hair growth at the back of your head so you will have a donor site. This is why hair plug treatments work so well.

I'm only 20 years old and don't have much hair. I was thinking about getting hair plugs. But will it work even if hair loss is hereditary from both sides of my family?

Hi Candace,
I think you should definitely talk to your doctor about the possibilities of hair plugs. In your case they may work very well. When women start to see hair thinning due to Androgenic Alopecia, commonly called male pattern baldness even though women also suffer from it, then hair plugs are not very effective because there is no good donation site for the hair follicles to be removed from. In your case, there may very well be enough hair growth at the back of the skull to give a good number of hair follicles. I would definitely talk to someone who could make a determination on that.

I have a cranial scar on my head that runs temple to temple, and I do not have hair growth in this scar. I get upset not being able to do a certain hair-dew because it might show my scar. I am really wanting to do something about this. Would it be possible to put hair plugs in this scar tissue and be successful with it? Have you ever heard of something like this being done? What do you think? P.S., This scar is not a new scar, I have had it for 4 years.
